The BusyPaws app can be downloaded from the App Store if you use an Apple device or the Google Play Store if you use an Android device.
Though BusyPaws is accessible through the browser on your mobile device, you may wish to download and use the dedicated mobile app for the best user experience. In this guide we will take a look at everything you need to know about navigating the app on your mobile device.
General Information
After downloading and opening the app, you will be prompted to log in to your account. Use the same login information (email and password) that you use when logging in from your browser.
Once you're logged in, you will be taken to the Messages Index. By default, you will be shown all message threads in your Inbox.
Use the icons at the top of the Messages Index to navigate between your Inbox, Outbox, and Archive.
Click the ellipses at the right-hand side of the messages navigation to open filter options for unread messages and your mail (i.e. threads in which you have participated).
The icons at the top of the page can be used to access the search bar, your web notifications list, your account menu, and the + menu. These icons are available from anywhere in the app.
Just as in the web view, the + menu includes options for adding a booking or a customer, plus the additional option of creating a new message thread.
The options in the account menu (opened by selecting your profile photo icon) differ slightly depending on whether you have manager/business owner designation or employee/lite designation. Managers will have their user name (opens the Your Profile page), Your Schedule, Payments, Billing, Referrals, and Sign Out.
Users with employee/lite level access will have only their user name (opens the Your Profile page), Your Schedule, Referrals, and Sign Out.
Additional page navigation options can be found at the very bottom of the page. This allows you to easily access the most commonly used pages, with icons for Messages, Bookings Calendar, Invoices, and Customers.
Click the ellipses icon at the right-hand side to open a drawer menu with even more navigation options. Click the "X" icon to close the drawer menu.
As with the account menu, fewer navigation options are available for employee and lite level users.
Booking Calendar
The calendar view in the BusyPaws app has been optimized for mobile screens. Due to the narrower width, the schedule can be accessed only using the daily view.
In addition, the icons for the different calendar options (main schedule, boarding, resources, list) are found at the bottom of the calendar page.
When on your main schedule, use the options at the top of the page to adjust the displayed data.
Select the month/year or pencil icon at the top of the calendar to open a date selection drop-down. Choosing a date will take you to that day on the schedule.
Use the left/right arrows at the top-left to navigate backward/forward one day at a time.
Select the "Today" icon to easily navigate to the current date.
Select the "Filters" icon to open the calendar filter options.
Time Tracking
To clock in or out via the mobile app, select the "Track Time" icon in the navigation menu.
This will open the Track Time page. If you are not yet clocked in, click the "Clock In" button to begin a new time entry.
If already clocked in, you will be able to see the current duration of your active time entry. Just as on a browser session, use the "Pause" button to temporarily pause the clock or the "Stop" button to end the time entry.
Help Centre
To open the help centre while using the BusyPaws app, select "Support" from the navigation menu.
From here you can easily start a support chat, check the status of your open support tickets, or access any of our help guides.
The options listed in the support centre may vary depending on your business' subscription plan.
