How do I remove a pet from a group booking?

Whether a client wishes to change their registration to a different service or simply cancel their registration altogether, you may find yourself needing to manually remove one or more pets from your group bookings. To do this, start by hovering your mouse over the Schedule icon in the left-hand menu bar and selecting "Calendar" from the menu.

Find the booking on the calendar and click on it to open its info page.

Note that you can also open a booking's information page by selecting it where it is listed on the "Bookings" tab of a customer's profile page.

The process from that point can vary slightly depending on the type of booking for which the client is registered.

Note that manually removing a client's registration will not automatically delete invoices associated with that registration. If the client has an unpaid or draft invoice they no longer need following their cancelled registration, that invoice will need to be manually voided.


Series Bookings

Series are scheduled as sets of bookings that require any registered pet to be registered for all bookings/steps in the set. This means if you are removing a client's registration they will be removed from the whole set (i.e. every week in that session). To manually remove a client's series booking registration open the "Attendance" tab on the booking's information page.

From there, locate the pet whose registration is to be removed. Pets on the Attendance tab are sorted alphabetically. Click the trash can icon next to the pet's profile photo to remove their registration.

On mobile/narrow desktop browser views this tab will display slightly differently, without the trash can icon. This is due to the view being optimized for the narrower width. In this view, select the pet's profile photo icon.

This will open a pop-up with more information about the pet. Click the "Remove from Booking" button to remove their registration.

Whether you are using the trash can icon or "Remove from Booking" button in the info pop-up, you will then be asked to confirm the registration removal.


Standalone Group Bookings

This section outlines the process for removing a client's registration from any type of group service that is scheduled with one-off or standalone (i.e. not repeating) bookings. This can include workshops, special events, specialty drop-in classes, or any other group service that is scheduled one date at a time. To manually remove a client's group booking registration open the "Attendance" tab on the booking's information page.

From there, locate the pet whose registration is to be removed. Pets on the Attendance tab are sorted alphabetically. Click the ellipses next to the pet's registration information.

Then select "Remove Registration" from the drop-down menu.

You will then be asked to confirm the registration removal.


Recurring Group Bookings

This section outlines the process for removing a client's registration from any form of recurring group booking. That can include open enrollment classes, daycare bookings, or any other type of group service that is scheduled with a set of repeating bookings. To manually remove a client's registration open the "Attendance" tab on the booking's information page.

There are two options when removing registrations from a repeating group booking:

Remove From One Date

To remove the client's registration from just a single date in the repeating set, start by confirming that you have the correct booking date open. If need be, select a different date in the set to navigate to its information page.

Once you have confirmed the selected date, click the ellipses next to the pet's registration information for that date.

Then select "Remove Registration" from the drop-down menu.

You will then be asked to confirm the registration removal.

Remove From The Rest of Set

To remove the client's registration from the selected date and the rest of the repeating set, start by confirming that you have the correct booking date open. If need be, select a different date in the set to navigate to its information page. With the process described here, the customer will be removed from the selected booking and any other remaining future bookings in this set.

Once you have confirmed the selected date, click the trash can icon next to the pet's profile photo.

Confirmation Step

For any form of manual registration removal you will be presented with a secondary confirmation pop-up after choosing to delete the client's registration. This pop-up is not only to confirm the registration removal, but also allows you to choose whether or not the client's credits should be returned to them when their registration is removed.

Remove Registration + Restore Credits

Removes the customer's registration from the booking while moving any credits associated with their registration back to available. Those credits can then be used towards another booking of the same service/series.

Remove Registration + Destroy Credits

Removes the customer's registration from the booking and deletes any credits associated with their registration. This means no credits will be available for them to use towards another booking.

Close

This button closes the pop-up, returning you to the attendance tab without removing the client's registration.

If the customer has not paid for their registration, has no invoice, and has no credits reserved, selecting either option will yield the same result.
